A little bit about us.... We're

A team full of care, skill, and infinite ideas

Meet Dr. Bydalek

“It is with great personal satisfaction and our Bydalek Dental team’s privilege to offer quality compassionate care to our community. We all know that where we live is nothing short of extraordinary. Our neighbors are hard working, engaged, interesting, and above all nice people that demand and deserve the best. We’ve worked hard as a family and team to build a service business that we are proud of and enjoy."

Dentist. Artist. Farmer. Father to two awesome kids, Alexandria and Ian. Husband to Maureen. Grateful son. Diehard Hokie and Philly fan. Skier. SSI Diver. Outdoor enthusiast.

Dr. Bydalek was raised in a military and artistic family and grew up travelling. Declining a scholarship to pursue an art degree in his senior year in high school, Dr. Bydalek decided to combine his artistic talent from his mom’s Dutch side of the family, and follow in his dad’s footsteps, a retired Air Force dentist, to pursue the field of dentistry where he felt he could use his skills to make the greatest impact.

Dr. Bydalek obtained his undergrad at Temple University and then decided to remain at Temple for his doctorate at the Kornberg School of Dentistry. His passion in dentistry is cosmetic design because creating a new smile, or making a tooth that actually looks and functions like a tooth, takes time, talent and care to get it right. Staying on top of the latest advancements in dental care theory, technique and technology remains priority in his office and that is why he continues to invest in it. RiverValleyDental was the first practice in Hunterdon currently to offer Solea drill-less laser dentistry; in addition, the office has CEREC digital crown and implant dentistry, 3D Scan technology, Diagnodent laser cavity detection, and more.

Somewhere in throws of raising a family and beginning to really understand and value the necessity of proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle including enough sleep and exercise, Dr. Bydalek has decided to take on the current recommendation by the American Dental Association community to have a conversation with his patients with regard to their overall health and take ownership in playing a role in their overall care.

“I can’t tell you the number of patients through the years I’ve recommended to see their medical physicians for a high blood pressure condition or an oral cancer concern that has resulted in saving a life, even helping to manage inflammation to maintain healthy gum tissue to support dental implant success. Overall wellness questions, that are normal in my team’s routine exams, are critical.”

Meet Dr. Tang

Dr. Andrew Tang was born and raised by hard-working immigrant parents, who taught him the value of hard work and service to others. Growing up in Freehold, New Jersey, Dr. Tang held an intense interest in science, pursuing a degree in biotechnology at Rutgers University. During college, he assisted his grandfather, a now-retired general dentist, and found that he loved dentistry’s unique blend of artistry and medicine.

A lifelong Scarlet Knight, Dr. Tang obtained his doctorate from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. During his time there, he was very involved in dental research and was recognized for his work as part of the ADA/Dentsply Sirona Clinician Research program, speaking at dental conferences across the US. Since graduation, he has completed a residency training program at Hackensack University Medical Center and has worked in public health for underserved communities.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tang loves spending time with his fiancé, Steph, and their affectionate dog, Cosmo. An avid musician, he spends his days off playing guitar and writing/mixing electronic music.

With the firm belief that advances in technology can make quality dental care more comfortable and more accessible to patients, Dr. Tang is ecstatic to join Dr. Bydalek and RiverValleyDental’s commitment to excellence.

Meet Our Team

Dentistry isn’t just about taking care of teeth and gums, it’s about people taking care of people. Our front desk and assistant teams advocate for our patients to ensure we get our job done right the first time and that our patient’s experience is seamless, pleasant and engaging. Our hygienists are specially trained in soft tissue management, which is a non-surgical procedure approach to enhance oral health. With this care, bad breath is managed, and red, swollen bleeding gums become healthy. We support our patients in their overall wellness goals because research undeniably supports the link between our overall wellness and our oral health. We take seriously the need for dental care providers to become part of an integrated model of patient care meaning direct and open lines of communication with our patients and their medical care team.
